Rules
- The policy division of the tournament will be debating the 2004-2005 NFL topic, Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially decrease its authority either to detain without charge or to search without probable cause. The policy prep time is 5 minutes.
- The Lincoln-Douglas division of the tournament will be debating the January/February 2006 NFL topic, Resolved: The use of the state's power of eminent domain to promote private enterprise is unjust. The LD prep time is 5 minutes.
- THERE IS NO SMOKING on SCHOOL PROPERTY, please smoke away from school property if needed.
- CLEAN UP AFTER EVERY ROUND. Runners will make sure the rooms are kept clean after every round. The TAB room will hold pairings until all the rooms are clean. Therefore, in order for everything to run on time and smoothly please pick up after yourself.
- DO NOT TOUCH any computers or teachers desks in the rooms. Any team to disregard this rule will be removed from the tournament and sent home.
- DO NOT pull out any furniture from any one room into another room or into the hall. Ask permission from tab before making up your own rules.
- There are people/security on the premises to insure that all rules are complied with. Please make sure to see tab with any problems or questions.
- All debate divisions will break into Octas on Saturday.
- All JUDGES must return collected ballots as soon as possible back to tab. NO ORAL CRITIQUE until ballots have been submitted. JUDGES delaying the tournament will be penalized.
- Have fun! Drink lots of water.
(All postings are announced in the lobby area of the school and cafeteria. Please be aware of postings to avoided forfeits. In other words, get to your rounds on time. )
